Hello, Welcome to Our Sun, Earth and Moon Phases Wiki. My name is Ms. Fells, I am the proud teacher of The Best Fifth Grade Class.
The purpose of this page is to introduce wiki technology to students, collect data using students prior thoughts about the Sun, Earth and Moon Phases, create a glossary of related terms, peer editing/reviews (using science leveled readers), group projects (to track student participation), build a technology page while incorporating sites such as Google Earth (http://www.google.com/earth/index.html), current events, videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79M2lSVZiY4&feature=related) and creating a Wikibook, The data collected will be used to generate an on-line graph introducing a site we will use throughout the year (http://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/createagraph/). I want my students to see the unit come to life, but also willing to accept constructive criticism and take risks. It is my intent to "start small and grow" so that each learner is reached and to ensure successful implementation of content rich technology. While connecting the classroom to home.
